The story of Vitaliy Lysyi from Borodyanka, Kyiv Oblast, who survived the occupation of his village

PROJECT CONCEPT

"The Book of Memory" is a collection of stories of witnesses and victims of Russian war crimes that occurred in Ukraine during the full-scale Russian invasion, starting from February 24th, 2022: deportations of Ukrainians, killing of civilians, detention and torture of prisoners and military servicemen, discovery of mass graves in regions that were liberated from Russian occupation, kidnappings, shelling of buildings and infrastructure, Russian massive missile strikes, etc.

The war stories before you provide a detailed overview of cases, from contextualisation, documented events, evidence to their processing. These cases show complexity, consistency and prevalence of #RussianWarCrimes, crimes against humanity and human rights violations that occurred in Ukraine during #RussiaUkraineWar.
